GET’s innovative WasteMaster food waste conversion system was initially showcased in a prestigious hotel in Ras Al Khaimah, where it demonstrated its advanced environmental credentials. In contrast to other available systems, the compact WasteMaster does not need drainage as it doesn’t use water, and no enzymes or any other additives are required during processing. The WasteMaster efficiently converts food waste, on-site, into a much smaller quantity of reusable residual material which can be re-purposed for uses such as green energy.
Food waste disposal is a huge challenge in the United Arab Emirates and RAK WMA is supporting the UAE Government’s environmental target to achieve zero waste to landfill through initiatives such as The Green Hotel Initiative, Vision 2021 and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Agency will be using the WasteMaster, which also measures the actual amounts of food waste being processed, to increase both residential and business awareness of the need to reduce food waste volumes, while also showing that food waste can be re-used as a valuable product to produce green energy and potentially to enrich soil for future food growth.
Two WasteMaster systems have already been installed, one at the Nakheel Food Hub Centre and the other at the Khuzam Food Hub Centre, and the WasteMaster units will be used in RAK WMA’s recycling centres across the Emirate.
Speaking about this prestigious recognition, Global Sales and Marketing Director for Green Eco Technologies, Jason Hoen, said:
“We are delighted and honoured to have been recognised as a strategic partner for the Ras Al Khaimah Waste Management Agency, and we are proud to be providing support through our WasteMaster system to achieve RAK WMA’s environmental goals and sustainable development across the United Arab Emirates.
“Green Eco Technologies looks forward to developing its relationship with RAK WMA and we are very grateful to our partner at Doctor Drain, Iris Medalle, for her representation during the assessment phase of the process and at the special presentation event.”
